Been home for about a month now. Class is consuming all my time. I really didn't like it at first, but ever since I started actually paying attention, I sort of get swept up in it and spend way too much time on my work. Leaves very little time for my real work, which thankfully hasn't really started yet.
Summer so far has been a strange mix of hectic and boring. I feel like I'm looking forward to something, but I don't know what...

Went to new York this weekend. Certainly was interesting, though not in the way I'd hoped. Got a few free drinks, ate some of the best food I've had in a long while, and got to know TFK a bit better. Just finished my thanksgiving break.
Bringing my SNES back to the dorm instead of the Wii. Hopefully I won't be as tempted to distract myself with games that I've already played.

Went to Otakon last weekend. Played some games, took some pictures, met and chatted with a bunch of people. Sat back and watched an impromptu breakdancing circle for a while. Went to the OCRemix panel, which was great (MORE COWBELL!). Overall, a fun experience. There were some disappointments, though. No Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack was the biggest one. I'd been practicing for weeks, and they just took it away. I tried to soothe myself with some puyo puyo, but there wasn't any decent competition in that. I sort of regret not buying anything from the dealers room, but eh, what can ya do?
Finished my last day on the job today. Definitely planning on going back next year. Maybe I'll even get another pay raise...
Getting ready to go on vacation in boring old Ocean City. Just like every year. The only difference is that I've already been there for a week this year, so it'll be doubly boring. Ah, well. It's my last chance to relax completely duty-free, so I'd better make the most of it.
Can't wait to move in to College Park. Less than 2 weeks to go. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. |

I went to my cousin's bachelor party on Saturday. It was interesting, to say the least. Had a great time, just a bunch of great guys getting trashed together. Not normally something I'd embrace, but hell, how often do you get to do something like that with your family?
My sister tried to set me up with someone this week, her friend's older sister. We seemed to hit it off pretty well over the phone, but unfortunately, we won't even be able to see each other for around 3 weeks; this week she's staying with out-of-state family, this weekend I have Otakon, next week she's on vacation, and the week after that, I'm on vacation. Three days after that, I leave for college. So much for a summer fling.
My boss is a great guy. I've gotta get him something nice before I leave my job. Been trying to think of something good, but I'm at a loss. Maybe I'll just get a crapload of donuts for him and the crew... |
